A Glimpse of Tibetan Monk's life.

one of the most intriguing aspects would be the mysterious life of Tibetan monks. Let’s have a glimpse of how a Tibetan becomes a monk and what their daily life in monastery.

According to our tradinally way, one who is going to be a monk should shave most of his hair but only keep a strand of hair in the middle.  Then, the kid is expected to be taken to meet the abbot, the head of the monastery. After making sure the kid truly decides to become a monk, the abbot will cut the remaining hair of the kid and give him a Dharma name for the newly-ordained monk.

Shortly after small monks begin their scholastic life in the monastery, they are taught monastic disciplines in monastery; In addition, learn mantra, ritual, prayers, etc. and then slowly they learn Buddhist philosophies by grade by grade.

The normal daily routine, besides festival days, is as follows:
At around 5/6a.m., depending on the season, the gong bell rings to wake the monks. They make their way to the main hall to perform morning prayer for about a hour. 
After breakfast, classes start for the young monks and continue throughout the day. These include reading and writing Tibetan, literature and studying Buddhist teachings.
