Tashiling Tibetan camp

Brief information about the village:

You are most welcome to experience  this peaceful tibetan village and come away with a profound, life changing experience different to any other destination in pokhara. I'm here to help you discover the history of Tibetan culture and lifestyle upon your arrival in pokhara and throughout stay.

It's half an hour drive from lakeside, Pokhara to our Tibetan village. They're two tourist spots-Devis fall and Guptashore cave to see before we reach at destination. The first impression you'll get entering to Tibetan village is that you will feel warmly welcome by few small Tibetan restaurant line up neatly on both side on a way. Even though we don't get yak meat here, still it remains very much rooted to its traditional Tibetan food sentiments.
Then little steps ahead, you'll be welcomed by Tibetan traditional monastery which is heart of our village. Its a holy place with deep religious meaning in Tibetan spiritual culture.
Once Buddha said, "how long Buddha Dharma may previal is depend on monastery. How long monastery may exist is depend on monk." That's why monk and monastery are very important for every Tibetan village and people. These are circumstances we need to have from outside and whereas trust and belief needed from ourselves for learning dharma and practice. You can learn more on tour.
Nearby you can see Tibetan medicine hospital, Tibetan children kindergarten and Tibetan primary school.
The moment you reach inside the camp, you can see lots of prayer flags fluttering on Tibetan residential houses.  It's for prosperity for the people and it also welcome you in Tibetan village. Then there is small stupa on the way. You can also see there Tibetan people selling souviner at stalls and shop. Continually waking further, You can see Tibetan handicraft center, photo gallery and Tibetan settlement office. Then there are another small beautiful stupa surrounded by lots of Buddhist mantra like "Om Mani Padme Hum" crafted stone. Every Wednesday morning, people there offer puja at the place.
We have seen many tourist with other guide come to visit our village but unfortunately rush back without knowing anything about its culture. we say that is blind tour. we would advice spending at least five hours or a day to know the people and its culture.  If you choose to tour with us, you will get great experience so pure about our culture and lifestyle. It can only be justified by actually paying a visit. I'm preety sure You can learn more on tour.
